Job Description

We have a lot of projects on the radar and we are seeking a highly driven sales rep that can help us achieve our sponsorship goals in LA. The success of the company largely depends on our ability to build partnerships with corporate brands and businesses. The sponsorship sales rep will build and manage a portfolio of accounts of potential sponsors. The sales rep will conduct various business development activities to effectively develop relationships that can translate into corporate sponsorships. The reps’ responsibilities will include:

1.	Proactively research potential sponsors and build and maintain a comprehensive database of potential sponsors 
2.	Develop leads with prospects and build an industry network
3.	Develop various cold and warm outreach strategies that can effectively generate a response from potential sponsors 
4.	Conduct in-depth research on potential clients to understand core marketing needs and sponsorship history. 
5.	Develop communication strategies and draft highly effective outreach letter templates for various phases of the sales funnel for each potential client 
6.	Execute communication strategies and track and measure outreach performance
7.	Develop bespoke presentations, including market research and data to build powerful and persuasive proposals based on the marketing objectives and the business needs of potential clients. 
8.	Creatively use sponsorship assets to build and demonstrate innovative marketing programs & packages which will add genuine value to potential clients.
9.	Create activation proposals for sponsors that align with their strategy
10.	Mediate and coordinate various forms of communications between Afropolitan Cities and potential sponsors and schedule meetings where necessary. 
11.	Manage all contractual rights and work with sponsors to deliver their activation goals
12.	Work with event production team and other departments to facilitate the fulfillment process for all sponsorships to ensure all sponsors are well integrated and able to achieve their business objectives 
13.	Ensure the digital, communications and other internal teams are fully aware of all campaign activities of sponsors
14.	Be the central point of contact internally and externally for all partner related activity
15.	Establish a permanent market presence
16.	Conduct on-going management sales leads to help achieve annual business objectives and revenue targets

Requirements & Qualifications
•	Possess 5 years’ experience in high value business to business sales 
•	Demonstrate experience developing relationships with key decision makers at multinational brands 
•	Project management experience is advantageous with clear evidence of delivery within tight timelines. Understanding of conventional and digital media platforms
•	Experience of contract management
•	Strong research skills 
•	Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management
•	The ability to initiate and spearhead projects from ideation to execution with minimal guidance  
•	Natural team player with an ability to effectively work independently 
•	Excited by challenges and motivated to find solutions that work for all parties. 
•	Excellent IT Skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint. 
•	Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
•	Strong drive & strategic thinker with a proven ability to navigate challenges and  capitalize on opportunities
•	Detail oriented with a strong ability to organize 
•	Natural problem solver with a proven track record navigate through challenges
